  • Charles H. Winslow and Ellen Jane Derr, both of Benezette, were married at the residence of the bride's father by J. R. Lindamuth. (Elk County Advocate, 4 September 1864)
  • Married. Aldridge – Deuttry – On the 3d instant by C. Wainwright, Esq., at the residence of John Shoemaker, in Benezette tp., Mr. Edward Aldridge, formerly of Chenango county, New York, to Miss Susan Deuttry, of Brady township, Clearfield county, Pa. Clearfield papers please copy. The above notice was accompanied by the printer’s fee. We are glad to see, at last, among the people a spirit of emulation as to who shall in this manner most freely discharge their debts and honor. And as to our part, we shall not fail to applaud such a liberalty in a becoming manner. To the subject of the present we give our thanks. (Elk County Advocate, 12 September 1867)

  • Alfred Johnson and Miss Veronica Fox, two well known young people of the Bennetts Branch were united in marriage on Tuesday afternoon, the ceremony taking place before Squire William Lewis. Mr. Johnson is a well-known employee of the highway department, while Miss Fox is a popular young daughter of H. E. Fox of Caledonia. (Dubois Courier, 23 August 1934)

  • A wedding party came to Emporium yesterday from Dents Run and stopped at the Warner House until the Buffalo mail departed. The party was composed of Rev. S. L. Frazier of Canada and bride, Miss Susie Johnson, who were united in marriage at the home of the bride in Dents Run yesterday morning by Rev. S. Ebersole, who accompanied the party to this place. Rev. Frazier and bride will reside in Knox, North Dakota. Others of the party were: Miss Zena Frazier, Montreal, Canada; E. T. Johnson, Jennie Marion, Dents Run; Misses Clara Wilson and Clara Leggett, Benezette. (Cameron County Press, 23 May 1901)
