Idle Men – Want a Vacation with Pay?

Emergency Conservation Work Camps No. 83 and 84 in Elk County, are in need of 32 experienced colored men, divided as follows: two clerks, 2 mechanics, 2 tool dressers, 20 truck drivers, 6 experienced in wood work. Salaries will range from $36 - $45 per month, with sleeping quarters and food furnished by the government. The probably duration of the work will be six months.

The applicants must furnish their own transportation to St. Marys, Pa., and Benezette Pa. The government will transport the men from the railroad station to the camp. Men with idle trucks interested in this work and in transporting men to Elk County, will be interviewed. It will be a rare opportunity for unemployed men to get a vacation with pay.
